Nvidia Expands AI Supercomputing Infrastructure Across Europe
Nvidia is deploying 35 AI supercomputers across 23 European countries, marking what the company calls Europe's largest one-year expansion in high-performance computing. These systems will serve over 3 million researchers through university labs, government facilities, and private AI firms.
The infrastructure leverages Nvidia's Blackwell and Hopper platforms, accounting for 90% of Europe's AI factory buildout with 800 AI exaflops of deployed capacity. Research applications span climate science, quantum computing, and healthcare—fields where accelerated computing enables complex simulations and AI model training.
"AI is the new instrument of science," said CEO Jensen Huang, framing the initiative as Europe's bid to transform data into global scientific breakthroughs. The project includes CUDA-Q integration for hybrid quantum-classical computing, reinforcing Europe's leadership in quantum-GPU convergence.
